1)The local time I put out was off the DST chart, not EST, so Q1 was spot on. Woke up to that at about 2007 local, and spun the dial, thinking I'd already blown it.
2)I failed to check the allowed freqs for General, and the two higher freqs I put out are either at the limit or off the 20M range. Embarrassing at best.
Anyway, I heard someone on 7.2955 at about 2010 local, but apparently couldn't be heard when I answered.
I guess I'm unwilling to give up on the whole idea, but it's going to take some more thinking. At this stage, I have heard something/someone out there two or three times on 40M (nothing at all on 20M), but haven't been heard responding. I'm willing to have another whack at it, but seems like we have to come up with a better idea.
