what to do
« on: June 21, 2015, 02:01:42 PM »
I found out that one of the reason I have such low energy and lots of pain in my body is that I can't go out in the sunlight,
now I thought I could just use an umbrella outside and be ok, but that is not the case at all now that the UV index is higher than it was in the winter,
I built a sensitive ultra violet meter and have been testing my clothes and everything else,
and it looks like I have no hope of using my solar HF backpack without much personal damage
maybe in the winter on overcast days only, but not much for the solar to run on then...

so I am wondering what to do with it,
I could just leave it as is, but not sure I would ever use it under any conditions,
or I could set it up so that the antenna and solar are able to be remotely setup easy, but seems like a backpack setup is kind of pointless for that
if I just took everything off the frame, put in larger lightweight batteries, then I could use it as a lighting platform so I can easy to work outside at night
I just put so much work into it to get it the way it is that I hate to just take it all apart
maybe I should sell it to someone that can use the way it is

any ideas ?

porphyria
at least I know how to deal with it now, hard to deal with things when you don't know what it is
management methods are working quite well as long as I follow them

Tell ya what I do in those situations: Set it aside for 6 months or a year and see where you are then. Maybe the treatment will do well.
Good luck with it Brother.

Prepping is in large part about making do with what you have.

My vote is to repurpose the stuff into an application that you can use.

You should be able to recycle everything except the backpack frame itself.

you are right,
I stripped all the hardware off the frame, it was quick

I can use the backpack frame to mount lights on,
it is very dark around here at night and outside lighting is not in any of the garden plots
not having to hold a flashlight while working will be nice,
I know that most people just use a headlamp...
